Offering opportunities to young people

The South Whidbey Commons  has impacted the lives of many local young people, according to a news release, not only by offering an opportunity to acquire skills and experience, but by providing a save and positive place in which to thrive. Like most nonprofits on South Whidbey, the Commons has felt the effect of a troubled economy. We obtain many of the foods and beverages that you enjoy at the Coffeehouse Bookstore from local sources, including: Aromatic coffee from Mukilteo Coffee Roasters, which is located outside Langley. Delicious cookies, scones, cinnamon rolls, bagels, and muffins that are prepared by Essential Baking Company. Made fresh daily. We are also offering yogurt parfaits, homemade soups, egg sandwiches, and paninis sandwiches and other snacks. The South Whidbey Commons is all about community, and we appreciate the fact that our community produces so many delicious things!
